How to choose a floating dock!

As I cruise the lake or various ports around the USA one thing that always intrigues me is various marinas and ports choice of docks. Some I find are as old as the ocean/lake itself while others seems to be made of newer materials almost seemingly easy to break if my boat docks a little rough.

As I started to ask around and find out why different marinas use different docks it became apparent that most didn’t think there were that many choices. Some things that I looked for in my dock was:

• Excellent stability on water
• Low or virtually no maintenance
• Cool to touch (hate when my feet burn)
• Safe, slip-resistant surface
• Strength and flexibility
• Secure connection couplers
• Versatile modular design
• Expandable for future growth
• Anchoring systems for
all conditions
• Four-season accessibility
• Custom design

The more i researched the easier it was to distinguish what the best choice was for me. So it is with you, I would suggest that you do your research. Find out exactly what you are looking for. If you don’t know where to start or where to even look, I would suggest a visit to EZDock Texas. They have some great pictures and ideas for floating docks. They use the EZDock Texas System which is very versatile, is not made of wood, and is easy to use. In other parts of this blog I reproduced one of their pages describing what it does but you can also view at Why EZDock page.

In the nd you must pick a floating dock that best fits your uses! With the versatility of EZDock Texas System, its hard to make another choice.
